For several years, Americans have enjoyed TV and buying things by phone. Now tele-shopping is starting in Europe(欧洲). Inanumber of European countries, people can turn on their TVs and shop for clothes, jewelry, food, toys, and many other things.
Tele-shopping is becoming popular in Sweden, for example. The biggest Swedish company sells different kinds of things on TV in 15 European countries, and in one year it made 100 million. In France there are two tele-shopping channels, and the French spend about 20 millionayear to buy things through those channels.
In Germany, until last year tele-shopping was only possible on one channel for1hour every day. A Japanese toy maker says that theyve 小器具)that translates dog barks (吠)into human languages and plan to begin selling the gadgetsunder the name of Bowlingualin the US pet stores and present shops this summer.
People laughed when the Japanese toy maker Takara company made the worlds first dog-human translation machine last year .But aboutof them have been sold since it was on sale in Japan last year .Far bigger sales will be expected once an English language translation machine for dogs comes to America in August .The United States is home to about 67 million dogs ,more than six times the number in Japan.
We know that the Americans love their dogs so much ,so we dont think theyll mind spending 120 on this gadget, the Takara marketing manager said before the journalists atameeting in Atlanta.
